Egyptian worker flees with earnings

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 28: A professor of Kuwait University has filed a case of “breach of trust” against an Egyptian expatriate, who works under his sponsorship in a juice shop in Hiteen Cooperative Society, accusing him of stealing KD 1,800 and disappearing.

According to security sources, the professor explained to securitymen that he was checking the accounts books when he discovered a sum of KD 1,800 was missing. When he asked his Egyptian employee, the suspect ran away. Investigations have been launched to find and arrest the suspect.

Meanwhile, a Kuwaiti citizen has filed a case at Hawally Police Station against an Egyptian expatriate who took a taxi under his name and agreed to pay part of his earnings to him but later disappeared with the taxi. Investigations have been launched to find the suspect.

Meanwhile, the Jahra police have arrested a non-Kuwaiti youth and referred him to the General Department for Drugs Control for possession sachet of chemicals and two cigarettes filled with hashish, reports Al-Rai daily. The arrest came in Naeem at a checkpoint. The youth and the contraband have been referred to the concerned authorities.
