KUWAIT CITY, April 15: Police have arrested an Egyptian woman who is believed to be in her 30s for humiliating two police officers and assaulting a female investigator at the Nugra Police Station, reports Al-Rai daily. According to a security source, this happened following a traffic accident in Hawalli. The Egyptian woman approached the site of the accident for no reason and when a police officer asked her to move on because she was causing traffic jam she refused, lost her temper and abused the police officer when he issued her a citation.
She was then taken to the Nugra Police Station and there also she insulted a police officer, took his picture with her cell phone and posted it in her Facebook account. When the officer confiscated the cell phone, she began to shout and when a female police investigator intervened, she assaulted the latter, verbally abused Kuwait and the laws of the country. A case of humiliating police officers, assaulting a police investigator and abusing Kuwait have been registered against her. A report has already been sent to the State Security department.
Meanwhile, an unidentified Egyptian was arrested and released after a drone equipped with camera and memory card reportedly crashed into the wall of the Central Bank of Kuwait (CBK), reports Al-Rai daily.
This happened when guards at the CBK saw the damaged drone and called the Operations Room of the Ministry of Interior. Police investigations revealed the drone belongs to a company that has a license to hover over Mubarakiya. It was reportedly lost due to bad weather conditions and the Egyptian operating the drone had immediately reported the matter to the Interior Ministry. He was released after ensuring there was no foul play. He also produced the licence which showed it was authorized to hover over Mubarakiya.
