Egyptian, wife beat cabbie in fare row; Two caught running brothel

KUWAIT CITY, March 9: The Salmiya police have put behind bars an Egyptian and his wife for assaulting a taxi driver during a fight over the fare, reports Al- Anba daily. It has been reported, the couple asked the driver to take them to a certain location and after they reaching the destination the husband argued over the fare and during the argument he hit the driver on the head causing him to feel giddy and crash into a wall. After the driver called the Operations Room of the Interior Ministry police rushed to the spot and arrested the couple.

Running brothel: Police have arrested two Egyptians for running a brothel under the cover of domestic labor office, reports Al- Shahed daily. A security source said the arrest came after the owner supplied a maid to an unidentified undercover police agent for having fun.

Smart phones stolen: Police are looking for unidentified burglars for breaking side wall of a building in Farwaniya, sneaking into a shop selling smart phones and stealing 66 cell phones worth KD 5,000, reports Al-Anba daily. Personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department have lifted fingerprints to identify the culprits.
