Egyptian securitymen held for stealing passengers at Kuwait International Airport

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 19: Farwaniya securitymen arrested an Egyptian for stealing from passengers at Kuwait International Airport. This came after the securitymen responded to complaints from a number of passengers who lost valuables while they were busy preparing for their trip with their small bags left in trolleys along with other suitcases.

A team was formed to gather information and identify the suspect, resulting in the arrest of the Egyptian who had in his possession several stolen items like mobile phones, iPads and cash. During interrogation, the suspect said he stole small bags and took valuable items in the bathroom. He also admitted to stealing from shops and involvement in six misdemeanor cases in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh. The value of the items he stole is estimated at $4,000 and he told officers that he enters the country whenever he gets a visit visa.
