KUWAIT CITY, Nov 10: An Egyptian expatriate was arrested at Kuwait International Airport for possessing a small piece of hashish, reports Al-Rai daily.
According to sources, the passenger was heading to the exit gate but customs officers suspected him due to his nervous attitude.
They checked him to find a small piece of hashish on him. When they questioned him, he admitted that the hashish belonged to him and was intended for his use. He was referred with the hashish to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action.
Meanwhile, Customs officers at Nuwaiseeb border checkpoint arrested a Saudi national in possession of 50 packs of cigarettes stuffed with hashish. Security sources revealed that the suspect arrived at the border checkpoint in his car. When Customs officers checked the car, they found the cigarette packs hidden in strategic spots in the car. Necessary legal action was taken against the smuggler.
