Egyptian man, laborer perish in 2 mishaps; Asian nurse stabbed

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 22: The body of an Egyptian man, believed to be in his mid-30’s, was found in Maidan Hawally. According to a security source, the Operations Unit in the Interior Ministry received a call from a citizen who found the Egyptian lying on the ground. Immediately a team was dispatched to the area and they took him to Mubarak Al-Kabeer Hospital where he was pronounced dead upon arrival. The corpse was referred to Forensics to determine the cause of death. In the meantime, an expatriate laborer died in a citizen’s house in Naeem, Jahra after falling from the rooftop while doing his work. His remains were referred to Forensics. A case was registered and investigations to establish circumstances leading to his death are underway.
Asian nurse stabbed: An unknown individual stabbed an Asian woman, who works as a nurse in Jahra Hospital, three times with a knife before fleeing from the location. According to security sources, when the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior received information about an Asian woman lying on the floor in a pool of her blood, securitymen and paramedics rushed to the location. When they discovered that she was stabbed, paramedics rushed her to Farwaniya Hospital where she was admitted in the Intensive Care Unit. Securitymen checked her details to discover she is an Asian expatriate who works as a nurse in Jahra Hospital. Some other sources revealed that the victim was attacked as she was entering her building, indicating that the assailant was intending to kill her. Investigations have been launched to find and arrest the culprit and people close to her have been summoned for questioning
