Egyptian going home from Kuwait caught with drugs in Saudi Arabia

KUWAIT CITY, March 11: The Saudi Road Safety authorities have taken into custody an unidentified Egyptian who works as an accountant for possessing 32,000 narcotic pills, 250,000 Saudi riyals and KD 420, reports Al-Rai daily.

The daily added, the contraband was found hidden in the trunk of his car registered in Kuwait. The man, who was reportedly on his way to visit his ‘sick’ brother in Egypt, was caught after he left the country via the Nuwaiseeb border post.

The Road Safety men then inspected the car and found money and the pills in the trunk of the car. According to the Kuwaiti security authorities, the man is holding a valid Kuwait residence permit which expires on April 30, 2017, he is a criminal and has a case pending before courts.

Thieves doing drugs: Police have arrested two bedoun for consuming drugs and stealing valuables from camps, reports Al-Anba daily. The bedoun were initially arrested for reckless driving in Jahra. At the time of arrest, both men appeared disoriented and police then searched them and seized narcotic pills from them in addition to items they had stolen from camps. Police later also found 9 heads of cattle which they had allegedly stolen from an unknown place.
