TUNIS, Jan 22: Egypt and Senegal were drawn together on Saturday in a scintillating World Cup playoff set for next month as the draw for the last leg of the African qualifiers revealed intense fixtures for the remaining berths in football's showpiece event in Qatar slated for November of this year.

Algeria, fresh off an early elimination at the Africa Cup of Nations this week, were drawn against Cameroon, while Morocco will take on the Democratic Republic of Congo and Tunisia will do battle with Mali, who face the prospect of qualifying for the World Cup for the first time. Ghana, who also went home after an early defeat in the Africa Cup of Nations, were drawn against Nigeria, according to the draw's results ahead of the two-legged ties which run from March 23-29.
