KUWAIT CITY, Sept 30: Police have arrested a British citizen for attempting to breaking into the Al-Shaab Palace, reports Al-Rai daily. According to security sources the suspect was under the influence of alcohol. The man armed with a sword and reportedly wrestled with the police when they tried to arrest. He is also said to have damaged several police vehicles before he was overpowered and taken to the Maidan Hawally Police Station. The daily added, another man who was with the Briton managed to escape. The 34-year-old Briton, identified only as D.J. and who came to the country on visit visa, has been referred to Forensics to measure the alcohol content in his blood. Police are looking for the companion.
Traffic brawl: A case of assault has been registered against two Kuwaitis for beating an unidentified Egyptian following a traffic accident in Fintas, reports Al-Rai daily. According to reports the Kuwaitis collided with the vehicle of the Egyptian and demanded that he should repair their car. When police reached the spot when someone called the Operations Room of the Interior Ministry police discovered the Kuwaitis were drunk. All the three men were then taken to the area police station.
Pot in cricket bat: The Air Freight Department of the Kuwait International Airport recently foiled an attempt by a Bangladeshi to smuggle marijuana stuffed into a cricket bat and related accessories, reports Al-Shahed daily. The Bangladeshi was arrested when he went to the department to receive the parcel. He has been referred to the concerned authorities.
Tomboy beats two: Police are looking for an unidentified Tomboy who reportedly gate crashed into a university and assaulted two female students, reports Al-Anba daily. According to security sources, the suspect left behind her ID as she hurried out of the university grounds after assaulting the victims. The female students then went to the Ahmadi Police Station and filed a complaint against the Tomboy and submitted a medical report to substantiate their claim. When they returned to the university, they were assaulted by another youth. The entire process was documented by the security guards and a case has been fi led against the youth and the Tomboy
