Drug pills seized – Kuwaiti held

KUWAIT CITY, June 19: A Kuwaiti citizen was arrested in possession of nine narcotic pills. According to security sources, Private Taskforce officers were patrolling Capital area when they suspected a man who had stopped his vehicle by the road side and started driving as soon as he noticed the patrol vehicle. They stopped him and checked his details to realize he is a Kuwaiti citizen. They checked him to find nine narcotic pills. He was arrested and referred with the pills to the General Department for Drug Control for further investigations. Meanwhile, a Kuwaiti citizen and a Bedoun man were arrested in possession of a sachet containing crystal meth, locally known as ‘Shabu’.

Hashish seized: Security operatives arrested a citizen in Mubarak Al-Kabeer Governorate in possession of half kilogram of hashish. The suspect was arrested at a checkpoint after he aroused suspicion of officers and a search was conducted on him. He was referred to concerned authorities for legal action. Meanwhile, patrolmen affiliated to the Ahmadi security command apprehended a Jordanian expatriate involved in KD 5,050 financial offense.
