Ministry warns managers of schools, kindergartensKUWAIT CITY, Sept 17: The Ministry of Education has warned the managers of schools and kindergarten against assigning teachers, students and guardians to do tasks that are not part of their functions, reports Al-Qabas daily. The ministry said anyone proven to have violated the directive will be referred to the relevant legal bodies.Director of Farwaniya Educational District Jassem Bu Hamad stressed in a circular distributed to schools that teachers must not be asked to edit educational materials, copy papers or decorate classrooms unless the administration of the school shoulders the cost. The circular also prohibits the collection of any kind of donations from students, indicating the schools must shoulder the expenses for providing educational equipment using their funds or revenues from canteens.Meanwhile, on the video clip that went viral on various social media platforms showing a number of boxes full of textbooks which were left outdoors, sources explained the books are part of an obsolete curriculum and were sold through an auction organized by the Ministry of Finance. Sources said the ministry will dispose these books within this month
