KUWAIT CITY, July 4: The Ministry of Health has prohibited doctors licensed to engage in private practice in private clinics, medical centers and dispensaries from keeping any kind of medicine or pharmaceutical product regardless of the purpose, except the diagnostic drugs for some medical specializations and emergency cases, without its approval; affirming it will hold liable those proven to have violated the directive, reports Al-Anba daily.

The decision came after the inspection committees affiliated to the Medicines Inspection Department noticed that some doctors in private clinics, medical centers and dispensaries are keeping medicines and pharmaceutical products which are sold in private pharmacies -- a violation of the law regulating the pharmaceutical profession and its bylaw.
