KUWAIT CITY, June 17: Deputy Director of Administrative and Financial Affairs Sector, and Acting Director of Social Welfare Sector at Public Authority of Disabled Affairs (PADA) Wafa Al-Mehna revealed that the Civil Service Commission (CSC) has approved to exempt disabled employees or caregivers of disabled individuals from attending work in the next stage in accordance with circular No. 13/2020 regarding guidelines, policies, procedures and rules for gradual return to work in government agencies, reports Al-Seyassah daily.

In a press statement, she said CSC clarified, in its response to PADA’s letter, about the exemption of the disabled and those in charge of their care from attending work until the health conditions in the country are stable. Al-Mehna stressed that the response of CSC explicitly highlighted the exemption of the disabled from work, as well as those responsible for care of disabled individuals and those who meet the conditions for reduced work hours.
