Detectives ‘arrest’ Syrian man for breaking into 62 salons for women

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 15: Detectives from the General Criminal Investigation Department in Mubarak Al-Kabeer arrested a Syrian man for involvement in 62 thefts in women salons in various parts of the country.

In a press statement, the department revealed its detectives counterpart received about 62 reports of theft in women salons, indicating the suspect gained access to these salons by breaking the window.

A team of detectives was formed to identify the suspect. The team did continuous surveillance at the entrance of buildings where there are salons, resulting in the arrest of the thief.

‘Wife missing’: An Egyptian has filed a missing persons report with the Salmiya Police Station on his wife, reports Al-Rai daily. In his complaint, the man said when he woke up he did not find his wife and her belongings. He added, he looked for her everywhere but did not find her. She is said to have left behind her cell phone. The husband believes the wife may have eloped with someone. Police are looking for the woman.

Cell phones found in prison: The Central Prison in cooperation with personnel from the private forces carried out a comprehensive inspection campaign in the prison wards after a picture of an inmate was posted on the social networking website in violation of the prison rules and regulations, reports Al-Anba daily quoting a security source. During the search operation police found big quantities of cell phones and WiFi equipment. It has also been reported during the search operation some of the inmates were involved in a confrontation with the security forces. Some of the injured inmates were later treated in the prison clinic
