Deputy Prime Minister stresses cooperation to tackle drug smuggling

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 7, (Agencies): Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense and Acting Minister of Interior Sheikh Talal Khaled Al-Ahmad Al- Sabah on Wednesday stressed the importance of cooperation amongst all authorities to face drug smuggling.

After an inspection visit Sheikh Talal made to the Land Shipping Department, he said in a statement issued by MOI that facing smugglers aims to protect young people from this menace, as well as preserving the country’s security. During the visit, accompanied by Director General of Customs Suleiman Al-Fahad and Assistant Undersecretary of Ministry of Interior for Public Security Affairs Major General Abdullah Al-Rejaib, Sheikh Talal was briefed on the inspection mechanism used by the Land Shipping Department to prevent smuggling
