Death of Asian housemaid probed – Bruises on parts of her body

KUWAIT CITY, July 6: The remains of an unidentified Asian housemaid have been referred to Forensics to identify the cause of death, reports Al-Shahed daily.

According to security source police and paramedics rushed to a house in Ardhiya after the Operations Room of the Interior Ministry received a report that the maid has fainted.

However, when the paramedics reached the spot they discovered the maid was lying on the floor and was dead with bruises on parts of her body. The daily without going into details said a bedoun woman has been detained for interrogation.

Rumours rejected: The Egyptian security sources have denied rumors that a Kuwaiti was detained at the Cairo International Airport for a long time for carrying excess Egyptian money in violation of the law, reports Al-Rai daily. The sources added, the Kuwaiti was carrying with him 30,000 Egyptian pounds an equivalent of KD 500, and when he was told he was in violation of the law, the issue was solved within one hour. The procedures were followed and the Kuwaiti was let go.
