LOS ANGELES, July 18, (RTRS): Lucasfi lm is working on a “Star Wars” virtual reality project that doesn’t have a name, release date or even a specific genre yet, but it does have a subject: Darth Vader.
The company announced a virtual reality project, which will be an addition to the “Star Wars” canon, at the Star Wars Celebration in London this weekend. The story will reveal new aspects of the famous villain’s past, as well as try to push the boundaries of storytelling.
The project is being developed by Lucasfi lm’s ILMxLAB, a division that combines VFX house Industrial Light & Magic with Skywalker Sound and the “Star Wars” story group.
“Man of Steel” and “Batman Begins” scribe David S. Goyer, who also penned “Call of Duty: Black Ops”, is writing the script.
