Dane trading in foreign liquor caught – Bedoun drug peddler nabbed

KUWAIT CITY, July 5: An Indian expatriate was arrested in Mahboula area by officers from Ahmadi Security Directorate in possession of 71 bottles of local brew, says Al-Seyassah. Apparently, security operatives came across a Japanese-made vehicle parked in a suspicious location during their routine patrol. They spotted the suspect inside the vehicle and approached him for checking and found the contraband, 71 bottles in total. He admitted peddling in liquor during questioning. Security operatives referred him to concerned authorities for necessary action.

Dane arrested: Personnel from the Criminal Investigations Department have arrested a Dane for trading in imported alcohol, reports Al-Rai daily. The daily added, the security authorities acting on information put the Dane under surveillance and then set a trap for him and took him in custody in Shaab. At the time of arrest the Dane had 28 bottles of imported booze in his vehicle. The Dane and the contraband have been referred to the authorities.

Bedoun arrested: Personnel from the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) have arrested a bedoun for trafficking in drugs, reports Al-Anba daily. A security source said the suspect was seized during a buy-bust operation in Jahra while selling 50 grams of shabu to an undercover police agent. Securitymen, armed with a warrant issued by the Public Prosecution, then raided his home and seized 4 kilos of meth drugs and handed him over to the concerned authorities.
