KUWAIT CITY, Sept 14: Personnel from the Maritime Security Administration have arrested a Sri Lankan woman for trafficking in narcotic pills, reports Al- Anba daily. According to a statement issued by the General Department of Public Relations and Media Security of the Ministry of Interior the maritime securitymen arrested an unidentified Egyptian on suspicion along the coast of the Al-Kout commercial mall in Fahaheel.

The Egyptian turned out to be violator of residence law and on him police found 30 drug pills. During interrogation he admitted to trafficking in drugs and gave police the name of the Sri Lankan who runs a beauty parlor. When police raided her place of work, they found on her 650 drug pills. The contraband and the suspects have been referred to the General Department of Drugs Control.

Marijuana seized from maid: Customs officers at the Kuwait International airport recently foiled an attempt by a housemaid to smuggle marijuana into the country, reports Al-Anba daily. Customs officers have reportedly seized from the maid 4 packets of marijuana which were hidden in a foodstuffs box.
