KUWAIT CITY, Dec 30: The Civil Service Commission (CSC), in cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education, has formed a team to run a check on university degrees of all employees who work for the government establishments and new job applicants, reports Al-Rai daily.
A CSC source who is close to the issued, said the team will during its next meetings determine and update the statistics recorded in the CSC archive, particularly those who hold Doctorate, Master and Bachelor degrees. This came following the confusion that has been created after the discovery of forged academic certificates.
The source explained in the event if the team members have any doubt about any certificate, they will send it to the concerned committee, which is headed by the Minister of Higher Education, to examine the ‘suspect’ certificates of citizens and expatriates.
The source added the committee has already sent a number of ‘suspect’ certificates for review and verification of authenticity. The source stressed the examination of certificates will not be limited to a specific period of time, but will include every employee in the government sector, whatever the length of his/ her service.
