Cruel owners leave animals and birds to die

KUWAIT CITY, May 27: The same old story of negligence and lack of monitoring by relevant authorities has left many animals dead at the Bird Market in Al-Rai area, reports Al- Qabas daily.

The daily quoting a source said many animal activists have repeatedly recorded incidents of attack against animals and diseases afflicting cats and dogs in particular. He noted many of the animals are dumped in the open sandy areas where they struggle to survive, and die eventually.

He lamented that animal owners and those displaying them for sale have lost the feeling of compassion, citing a case in which two dead dogs were dumped at a sandy area behind the market. Apparently, the dogs had died of disease or injury
