KUWAIT CITY, May 13: The Personal Status Circuit of the Court of Cassation upheld the verdicts issued by the Court of First Instance and Court of Appeals to withdraw a Kuwaiti woman’s custody of her children and give it to their paternal grandmother. The verdicts were based on allegations of infidelity launched against the mother of the children. In the case filed by the counsel to the grandmother Lawyer Abdulwahab bin Salama, he explained that his client’s son married the defendant and had children together. However, the wife betrayed the husband by engaging in an adulterous relationship with her colleague.Lawyer Abdulwahab presented photographs and Whatsapp chat messages between the woman and her new lover, which had been submitted earlier to the Public Prosecution. Chief witnesses included the caretaker of a building where the woman had rented an apartment and shared with her new lover. He affirmed that the two used to frequent the apartment.By Jaber Al-Hamoud Al-Seyassah Staff and Agencies
