Court sentences Kuwaiti to death for killing nephew in Salmi desert

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 29: The Court of Cassation has sentenced a Kuwaiti citizen to death for killing his nephew at a livestock pen in Salmi desert area last year due to a family dispute. The Public Prosecution charged the citizen with premeditated murder of his nephew, confronting him with evidences of his full preparedness to murder the deceased by preparing the gun that he used for the purpose.

According to the case file, when Taima Police Station received information about the incident, security operatives of Ministry of Interior devised a mechanism for searching and arresting the culprit after conducting a thorough investigation of the case. The officers were able to apprehend him in no time. Legal procedures were taken, and the culprit confessed to the crime during interrogations. He took the detectives to location of the firearm he used for the dastard act in Rahya area. After the investigation concluded, the culprit was referred to the concerned authority for judicial procedure.
