Court sentences 3 Iranians to death in drugs smuggling

KUWAIT CITY, July 2: The Criminal Court chaired by Counselor Nayef Al-Dahoum has issued the death sentence against three Iranians for smuggling illicit drugs. Apparently, Coast Guard officers traced the suspects’ boat via radar before it reached Kuwait’s territorial waters, and arrested all three men in their vain attempt to smuggle the contraband into the country. According to the case file, officers affiliated to southern security sector went to the location, searched the boat and arrested the three Iranians on board in possession of 128 packets of illicit drugs ready for circulation. They were referred to relevant authorities for legal action.
