Court adjourns hearing in bid to blast mosque – Ruling in royal insult on Nov 24

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 4: The Criminal Court adjourned the hearing a case filed against an unidentified individual, who was accused of attempting to blow up Imam Zainulabideen Mosque in Salmiya area with explosives and of joining the banned terrorist organization DAESH, until issuance of a medical report.

The Public Prosecution had charged him with attempting to blow up Imam Zainulabideen Mosque in Salmiya area using an explosive belt with the aim of killing the worshippers inside the mosque, joining DAESH organization and pledging allegiance to the leader of that terrorist organization.

Ruling on Nov 24: The Criminal Court postponed until Nov 24, 2016 the issuance of its verdict on the State Security case involving ‘Abu Rif’ah’ who is accused of transgressing and insulting the entity of HH the Amir.

Case files indicate the Public Prosecution accused ‘Abu Rif’ah’ of insulting and transgressing the entity of HH the Amir through a video clip he posted on Snap Chat.

In the previous session, the accused vowed not to repeat his actions, pointing out that he was tricked by some individuals from Iraq and Libya from whom he received money and alcohol which led him to act unconsciously, let alone the fact that he suffers from psychological disease.

3 caught doing drugs: Three men — a Kuwaiti and two Egyptians – have been referred to the General Department for Drugs Control for consuming drugs, reports Annahar daily.

The addicts were caught in Farwaniya. They were consuming drugs inside a car which was parked in the parking lot of the Salmiya Cooperative Society.

Police have seized from them drug addiction tools, heroin, hashish and drug pills.

Meanwhile, personnel from Private Secret Tasks have referred five drugs addicts (a Kuwaiti, two Egyptians, a Yemeni and a non-Kuwaiti) to the General Department for Drugs Control, reports Al-Rai daily.

They were caught red-handed at an unidentified location by police for consuming drugs.

Police have seized from the men for hashish, shabu, 18 sachets of a drug called Larica and two sachets of heroin.

Liquor with delivery boy: The Ahmadi police have arrested an unidentified food delivery man working for a restaurant for possessing seven bottles of wine, reports Al-Shahed daily.

The suspect was caught during routine patrolling in Mahboula.

He has been handed over to the concerned authorities.

Fight over delayed loan: An unidentified Jordanian has been arrested and referred to the Hawalli Police Station for fighting inside a café and injuring his compatriot, reports Al-Rai daily. The daily added, the suspect beat his compatriot and caused him injury in the nose and head because the victim failed to repay KD 250 which he had borrowed from the suspect.

The victim has been admitted to the Mubarak Al-Kabir Hospital.

Wife assaulted: A Kuwaiti woman has filed a complaint with the police accusing her compatriot husband of assaulting her, insulting her in front of her children and stealing her ATM and Civil IDs of her four children, reports Al-Anba daily.

The complaint has been filed with the Jabriya Police Station. The husband has been summoned for interrogation.
