KUWAIT CITY, June 12, (KUNA): Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khaled Al-Jarrah Al-Sabah stressed Tuesday the importance of boosting cooperation with the Public Prosecution and diplomatic missions to resolve deportation issues. Sheikh Khaled Al-Jarrah made his remarks while meeting with Attorney General Mohammed Rashid Al-Duaij, head of the committee specialized in studying all cases of prisoners awaiting deportation, the ministry said in a press statement.

The minister discussed with Al-Duaij the new regulations aimed to resolve some existing issues in the deportation prison and alleviate their impacts, reiterating the significance of cooperating and coordinating with the Public Prosecution to achieve the desired goals.

For his part, Al-Duaij affirmed there are not any exception when it comes to lifting judicial deportation from any prisoner, unless under the mandatory legal rules and regulations, stressing the importance of enforcing the law fully and not selectively. Meanwhile, Undersecretary of the Kuwaiti National Guard (KNG) Lieutenant General Hashem Al-Rifai ordered on Tuesday release of military detainees with disciplinary sanctions on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr.

The decision came under the guidance of His Highness Sheikh Salem Al-Ali Al-Sabah, President of the Kuwaiti National Guard, and Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Deputy Chief of the KNG, the ministry’s Directorate of Moral Guidance and Public Relations said in a press statement.

His Highness Sheikh Salem Al-Ali Al-Sabah and Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah congratulated His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and the leaders of Kuwait National Guard on the occasion of Eid. His Highness hoped that the country would see many more happy returns of this occasion, while Kuwait continued to enjoy prosperity and advancement.
