KUWAIT CITY, April 19: Health sources have sounded the alarm bells because of the certain types of antibiotics, particularly Colistin, which may cause complications in cancer, kidney and immunosuppressant patients which may even lead to death, reports Al-Rai daily.The sources revealed some health centers are facing shortage of a large number of pharmaceutical items, including Colistin, an antibiotic used in cases of severe bacterial infection and bacteria resistant to multiple drugs.The sources have appealed to the Minister of Health to help bring in these medicines to save the lives of patients and provide appropriate treatment for them. They have also asked the minister to fi nd out why there is shortage in these medicines
