Municipality inspectors are issuing a citation at a shop in Farwaniya

KUWAIT CITY, June 30: The emergency team of Farwaniya Municipality launched a campaign in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh area during which 14 citations against illegal advertisements were issued and 21 violating advertisements were removed, reports Al-Seyassah daily.

Director of Farwaniya Municipality Saeed Al-Azmi explained that the campaigns will continue in line with the media campaign titled “Contact Us” launched by Public Relations and Media Department. This media campaign is aimed at removing the encroachments on state properties, removing violating advertisements and arresting hawkers and violators of law.

Meanwhile, Head of the emergency team of Farwaniya Municipality Ahmed Al-Shuraikah revealed that inspectors of shift A issued 14 citations based on ministerial decision No. 172/2006 after inspecting 44 shops, adding that warnings stickers were placed on places that trespassed into state properties. Also, Director of Public Hygiene and Road Affairs Department at Mubarak Al-Kabeer Municipality MulfiAl-Hawalli elaborated on the achievements realized in May 2018. He explained that the department lifted 82,000 cubic meters of waste materials and 59 neglected vehicles. The inspectors placed 441 stickers on neglected cars and issued 81 citations against violations concerning road occupancy, public hygiene and hawkers. The department issued 12 licenses to restaurants and shops, and lifted 81814 cubic meters of waste, as well as collected fees worth KD 9,353.
