Citation for Sharq police station for wasting electricity

: The Ministry of Electricity and Water has issued a citation against the Ministry of Interior, reports Al-Anba daily. The daily added, this happened after the Sharq Police Station did not heed to several verbal warnings not to waste electricity.

The warnings were issued after the Ministry of Electricity and Water noticed the external lights were left ‘on’ 24×7. The director of the Energy Efficiency and Rationalization Department at the ministry Engineer Iqbal Al-Tayyar said the citation was issued after the Interior Ministry team participating in the meetings on the subject of rationalizing consumption was verbally warned on several occasions.

Al-Tayyar has called on officials in the Ministry of Interior to cooperate with the Ministry of Electricity and Water to help rationalize power and water consumption and serve as role model for citizens and residents in the preservation of the wealth of the state. She pointed out that the ministry’s campaigns against the police stations and all state institutions, including schools shall continue the national message reaches one and all on the rationalization of power and water consumption.
