Step aims at protecting confidentiality of accused

KUWAIT CITY, April 3: The Criminal Investigations Department and its affiliates have developed a new program to register complaints in the computer network with complete data of the accused including the personal photograph, reports Al- Qabas daily.

Security sources said this step is aimed at protecting the confidentiality and provide quick access and criminal records of the persons wanted by law in coordination with the Department of Information Technology and Public Administration of Information Systems.

The sources added the government’s e-mail system G2G has been activated, as well as the use of the electronic archive system to monitor and evaluate the performance of the employees of the investigation department in all provinces to identify their achievements immediately.

The sources added the Criminal Investigations Department has established a website to provide services to the public by receiving complaints, communications and suggestions in order to maintain security. This will ensure in the eyes of the citizens and residents that the securitymen are ‘watching’ 24×7 to protect their lives and property.
