China didn’t report coronavirus cases but those coming from abroad

KUWAIT, March 23 (KUNA) — China did not report any coronavirus case nationwide, including in province of Hubei and its capital, Wuhan, but registered 39 people infected with virus but who came from abroad.


With the 39 infections, said the Naitonal Health Commission Monday, the number of coronavirus patients who came from outside China rose to 353.
The commission said nine people died of the virus, also known as COVID-19, in Hubei province to increase number of fatalities to 3,270.
China’s registered cases were 81,093.


The commission said 459 people recovered and left hospitals to increase number of recoveries to 72,703.


It added that 5,120 people still receiving treatment and 10,701 under observation because they came into close contacts with infected persons.
The commission said 317 cases were registered in Hong Kong including four deaths, 21 in Macau and 169 in Taiwan including two deaths.
It added 100 patients were discharged from hospitals in Hong Kong, 10 in Macau and 28 in Taiwan following their recovery. (end)
