Chest Hospital gets Nuclear Medicine & CT scan equipments

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 21: Director of Chest Diseases Hospital Dr Reem Al-Asousi announced the acquisition of new equipment for the Nuclear Medicine Unit and CT scan machine for hospital, reports Al-Anba daily. Dr Al-Asousi disclosed the equipment is significant considering the time saving factor involved. She also said the acquisition will be helpful to patients with heart related ailments whose X-ray tests may have been postponed and reduce the period of waiting for appointments.

He explained the appointments of some patients were canceled in the past if they had chronic heart ailments based on high rate of heartbeat experienced while the old equipment were in use. She reiterated the new equipment could still carry out X-ray procedures no matter the rate of heartbeat. She revealed that construction has begun at Al-Osaimi Center, and if completed, it will become an affiliate of the hospital. She declared the center will contribute to the expansion of bed spaces in intensive care unit and the wards.
