Chadian woman deported for links with Saddam held in Hawally

KUWAIT CITY, May 18: A Chadian woman who was deported from Kuwait in 1992 due to her links with Sadaam Hussein was arrested recently in Hawally area. According to security sources, securitymen arrested the African woman after checking her details to discover she was deported from Kuwait in 1992 because she dealt directly with Sadaam Hussein during the Iraqi invasion in Kuwait. She was also blacklisted from entering Kuwait.

The suspect was referred to the police station of the area, and then transferred to the State Security Department to determine how and why she returned to Kuwait. Necessary action was taken. The sources warned about legal and security loopholes which are being taken advantage of by violators of law, lamenting that such situations can pose a threat to the security of the country and safety of citizens and expatriates living in Kuwait.
