CBK requests random data sample of employees of bank

KUWAIT CITY, April 28: The Central Bank of Kuwait (CBK) has requested all banks to submit data of a random sample of 100 employees each bank, reports Al-Rai daily quoting sources. Sources explained this move aims to re-evaluate the average expenditure of those traveling abroad, indicating that the random sample should include Kuwaiti and non- Kuwaiti employees.
Sources confirmed that CBK intends to develop Kuwait’s balance of payment statistics which will include information on travel service item (debt payment) to re-assess the average expenditure of Kuwaiti and non-Kuwaitis who travel abroad for tourism, holidays, religious rites, training, education, treatment or participation in conferences.
The questionnaire of CBK requests for more information about the destination; period of travel; accommodation – private or rented apartment, hotel, free house, etc; number of companions and total expenditures during travel.
