Capital’s Al-Hajji clinches amateur bowling title – Al-Rakam bags intermediate crownv

KUWAIT CITY, March 30: In the Second Joint Bowling Tournament of Capital and Mubarak Al- Kabeer Bowling Training Centers for Girls, Sarah Al-Hajji won in the amateur category for the Capital Bowling Center for Girls, followed by Sheikha Manae in second place, and Dallal Al-Manae in third place. The tournament, which was held at the Capital Training Center of Bowling, was part of the project titled “Our children are our hope” organized by Ministry of Education and Public Authority for Sports. The tournament witnessed participation of about 70 girls.

The event was attended by Assistant Undersecretary for Education Development at Ministry of Education Faisal Al-Maqseed, Director of Sports for All Department at Public Authority for Sports Dr Hamoud Al- Fuleiteh and Manager of the Capital Center for Bowling for Boys Adhari Shamsaah among other offi cials and representatives. In the intermediate category, Janna Al-Rakam came fi rst, followed by Lulwah Al-Rashid in second place and Fatmah Mubarak in third place.

For the Mubarak Al-Kabeer Bowling Center for Girls, Haifa Muhammad took fi rst place in the amateur category, followed by Fatmah Wael in second place and Aliya Muhammad in third place. In the intermediate category, Kawthar Al-Saleh came fi rst, followed by Stephanie Al-Safar in second place and Maryam Al-Kandari in third.

Assistant Undersecretary for Education Development at Ministry of Education Faisal Al-Maqseed said the project “Our children are our hope” attracts distinguished participation from students of both genders, adding that in the near future, the fruits of such a project will have positive returns on the society, especially in the sports aspect
