‘We are all brothers after all’

KUWAIT CITY, April 13: A new humanitarian initiative titled “Thanks to every expatriate in Kuwait” was recently launched under the patronage of Sheikh Duaij Al- Khalifa and supervision of Egyptian businessman residing in Kuwait and the owner of Al-Bairaq Company Kamal Mansour “Abu Iyad”, reports Al-Anba daily.

Al-Bairaq Company has arranged 1,500 cartons of various new clothes for distribution to Egyptian and non-Egyptian expatriates who desire to leave the country during the grace period from April 1 to April 30 either because they are in violation of the residency law and can leave during this period without paying the relevant fines or due to their current difficult living conditions.

The sponsor of the initiative Sheikh Duaij Al-Khalifa said, “My businessman friend Kamal Mansour and I thought of launching this humanitarian initiative with focus on the importance of societal solidarity. Human cohesion is everyone’s responsibility, especially since it is customary for expatriates to carry gifts to their families especially their children every time they visit their country. Given their current difficult circumstances, they do not have the ability to buy gifts, so it is our duty to relieve their pain through this humanitarian initiative.”

Businessman Kamal Mansour said, “This initiative is like a certificate of thanks and gratitude to every person who lives on the good land of Kuwait and their contribution to their second homeland Kuwait, which embraced them with love and overwhelmed them with goodness. ‘
