KUWAIT, Nov 10 (KUNA) -- His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah called for an extraordinary cabinet meeting to be held later on Saturday to review reports on impacts of heavy rain experienced by the country recently, a senior government official said.The cabinet is keenly following consequences, as well as measures being taken by all concerned government bodies in a bid to ensure safety of citizens and expatriates alike, said Anas Al-Saleh, deputy premier and minister of state for cabinet affairs in a press release.Mechanisms and means to support and lessen suffering of those affected by the excessive downpours, as well as holding accountable those who fell short to perform their duties, being government officials or contractors, will be discussed in the meeting, Al-Saleh pointed out.The country is experiencing an unstable weather associated with scattered thunderous rains, ranging from moderate to heavy, expected to run until Sunday morning.
