Cabinet approves Barjas’ promotion

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 22: The Council of Ministers has approved the promotion of Assistant Undersecretary for Residency Affairs Major General Anwar Al-Barjas to Lieutenant General and his appointment as Undersecretary of the Interior Ministry, reports Al-Qabas daily quoting sources.

Sources disclosed that former Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Ahmad Al-Mansour issued a ministerial decision on Jan 20 appointing Al-Barjas as undersecretary, succeeding First Lieutenant General Sheikh Faisal Al-Nawaf whose legal service period ended on the same day. Sources added the legal service period of Al-Barjas will end in October 2023.
