Burgan Bank announces Al Qallaf receives 3 gold medals, ‘Best Fencing Champ’ title

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 4: Burgan Bank announced today that Tariq Al Qallaf, Kuwait’s World Wheelchair Fencing Champion, won three gold medals along with the title of ‘Best Fencing Champion’ during his participation in the US Fencing Championship for the Disabled. The championship took place in Columbus City, Ohio from Jan 7-10, 2017.

Burgan Bank has a long-established tradition as a supporter of Kuwait’s world titleholders in reaching greater heights and raising the Kuwaiti flag at worldwide arenas. The bank is proud to be associated with Al Qallaf’s success, which comes as a result of his hard work, dedication and the determination to go the extra mile to achieve his goals. Al Qallaf participated in more than 70 regional and international competitions over the past 30 years, bagging more than 46 gold medals. During his participation in the US Fencing Championship in October 2016, he won three gold medals along with the title of ‘Best Fencing Champion’.
