KUWAIT CITY, June 4: A boy mistakenly shot at his four-year old sister and the bullet was lodged inside her head, reports Al-Rai daily. According to security sources, the girl was carried by her family to Adan Hospital where the family said the girl fell down and a piece of metal pierced into her head.
However, X-rays revealed that it was not a piece of metal but a bullet. She was immediately rushed to Ibn Sina Hospital where doctors managed to pull out the bullet after informing the Operations Room of the Interior Ministry. Doctors indicated that the girl will suffer from sight issues. The police intend to question the boy and the family and determine whether the firearm is licensed.
Lieutenant run over: A lieutenant on a special mission sustained minor injuries after he was run over intentionally by a Bedoun motorist who was under the influence of drugs. A security source revealed that detectives suspected the driver of a Jeep Range Rover loitering in Salwa area and asked him to step out of the vehicle for questioning. To his surprise, the suspect knocked him down and fled the scene, but he was chased by a support patrol team and arrested after the Jeep broke down on a pavement. A piece of hashish and other narcotic substances with KD 1,500 cash were found on him during checking. He was referred with the contraband to concerned authorities for necessary action
