Booze in ‘baqala’ – Indian held

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 8: An Indian expatriate who works in a grocery store in Farwaniya area was arrested for selling locally manufactured liquor which he stored in the refrigerator of the store. According to a security source, Farwaniya securitymen were patrolling Farwaniya area when they stopped in front of a grocery store.

One of the officers went inside the store and opened the refrigerator to find bottles of water. He was surprised to see the grocer running and he chased and caught him. Securitymen checked the bottles to discover they were filled with locally manufactured liquor. They questioned the grocer and he confessed that he sells the liquor from the grocery store. He was arrested and referred with the liquor bottles to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action against him.
