‘Bhutanese working in Kuwait all graduates’

Some of them had joined Al-Shaya Academy in Bhutan: envoy

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 17: The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bhutan to the country Tsering Bangor said about 3,000 Bhutanese work in Kuwait and they are all graduates and work in companies, reports Al-Rai daily.

He told the daily some of these graduates had joined the Al-Shaya Academy in Bhutan to take a training course, before they came to work in Kuwait, pointing out that the largest number of them works in Al- Shaya companies inside Kuwait and some big hotels and other companies.

He pointed out that the recruitment of any specialized labor from Bhutan is through communication with the embassy, which in turn communicates with the Bhutanese Ministry of Labor to study the applications, indicating that the salaries depend on the nature of work at an average of KD 250.
