Bedoun youth ‘stabbed’ by Saudi national during fight

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 20: A Bedoun youth was referred to Adan Hospital amid stab wound he sustained in a fight with a Saudi national. A security source said the Operations Room of the Ministry of Interior received a call about an individual who was stabbed in a bloody fight and transferred to the hospital for treatment. Acting on information, a team of security operatives went to the hospital to question the injured Bedoun. He then provided the officers with details of the suspect who happens to be a Saudi citizen. The suspect was arrested and referred to Abu Halifa Police Station for investigation.

‘Lebanese woman assaulted’: An Egyptian couple has been detained at Salwa Police Station after a complaint was lodged against them by a Lebanese woman who accused them of assaulting her. She had submitted a medical report to support her claim, reports Al-Rai daily. According to security sources, a case of assault was registered against the Egyptian couple and they were summoned to the police station where they admitted they will attack her again because she had beaten their mentally retarded son.

Shots fired from vehicle: An unknown individual in a white vehicle was shooting randomly in Al-Oyoun area in Jahra, reports Al-Rai daily. Jahra securitymen rushed to the location after the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior received several calls about the incident. They did not find anyone at the site but they have launched investigations to find and arrest the suspect.

Bid to receive travellers: Kuwait International Airport has taken necessary preparatory measures to receive nearly 300,000 travelers who are expected to return soon to Kuwait after spending their summer overseas, reports Al-Shahed daily. According to sources, the General Administration of the airport has allotted an operational plan that is consistent with the successes achieved by the concerned agencies at the security level. The number of support staff in passports and security sections has been increased along with the number of locations allotted for personal inspection.

2 held for stealing cars: Two Egyptian expatriates were arrested for stealing vehicles that were parked in Al-Rai area, reports Al-Rai daily. According to security sources, Andalous securitymen were carrying out intensive investigations concerning a theft case filed by an Egyptian expatriate who had reported that his car was stolen. Eventually, they managed to arrest two Egyptian expatriates who admitted to committing several auto thefts. They also revealed that they stole the Egyptian’s vehicle in October 2015. The suspects were referred to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action.
