KUWAIT CITY, Feb 29: Personnel from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Jahra Branch, have arrested an unidentified bedoun who had been sentenced in absentia to seven years imprisonment, reports Al-Anba daily.

At the time of arrest the suspect was allegedly holding the ID of his brother, which he was using to evade arrest. He also admitted that he used his brother’s security card to travel.

Following his confession the security authorities have summoned the brother for interrogation.

In the meantime, the brother has been charged with sheltering a wanted person and helping him escape the law. A security source said the tight ambush by detectives prevented the accused from showing any significant resistance. He has been handed over to the Sentences Enforcement Department.
