Bedoun held for stealing cars, selling to garages in scrapyard

KUWAIT CITY, July 8: Police have arrested a bedoun for stealing cars and selling them to owners of garages in Amghara, reports Al-Anba daily.

The daily added, the suspect was arrested after an expatriate called the Operations Room of the Interior Ministry and complained about the theft of his car which he had apparently left unattended with the engine on. Police patrols were informed about the theft and given the description and details about the car and the suspect was arrested before he reached Amghara.

During interrogation the bedoun admitted to stealing the car. He also said this is not the first theft he had committed and admitted to selling a car worth KD 3,000 for just KD 500. He said the buyers were fully aware that they were buying stolen cars, which they dismantled and sold the parts. The daily did not give more details
