KUWAIT CITY, March 3: In one of the rare incidents a Bangladeshi roaming taxi driver has filed a complaint with the police station accusing a gang of compatriots of kidnapping and holding him for ransom, reports Al-Anba daily.

The complainant also told police the suspects picked him from an unidentified location in Shuwaikh after he stepped out of a restaurant after having a meal

. The men then drove him to Hassawi and called his father in Bangladesh and ordered him to transfer a certain sum of money into the account of one of them.

They told the father that they will kill his son if the money was not transferred. After the money was transferred the suspects released the driver unharmed in Shuwaikh.
