KUWAIT CITY, Apr 12: The ambassador of the People's Republic of Bangladesh SM Abu Al-Kalam confirmed that the first days allocated to the undocumented Bangladeshi community witnessed a great turnout to take advantage of the deadline granted by the Ministry of Interior for them to leave the country without paying any fines.

The Bangladeshi Ambassador revealed that the first day witnessed 900 violators of the residency law but the embassy staff could not complete their paper work and workflow was not satisfactory, while on second day 440 applicants were received, explaining that it is not possible to predict a number of family members who are violators and at the amnesty centers of the Ministry of the Interior they will be reviewed which has assigned to receive them to finish the procedures so that they can return to their country.

He pointed out that the embassy members will spare no effort in finishing the transactions of violators but these procedures take time as number of violators have their passports expired and another number who do not have passports and this is where the difficulty lies.

He explained that the whole world is going through unexceptional circumstances as a result of the spread of the Corona virus, and this increases the difficulty of violators from his community, noting that the violators will be admitted in quarantine facilities affiliated to the Ministry of Health once they arrive in Bangladesh.
