Ban on expats lifted

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 2: The Civil Service Commission (CSC) has lifted the ban on 625 job positions for non-Kuwaitis in the Ministry of Health, reports Al-Anba daily. In its letter addressed to the Ministry of Health, CSC stated that the jobs for which the ban was lifted included 77 doctor positions, 485 nursing staff positions, 52 technician positions and 11 pharmacist positions.

It urged the Ministry of Health not to fill these previous positions until after completing the legal period for which salaries were paid to their outgoing incumbents in return for the balance of their periodic leaves, in addition to not having these jobs canceled by the Ministry of Finance in the budget of the Ministry of Health for the next fiscal year.
