Baby abandoned in a cardboard box

KUWAIT CITY, March 1: A baby was abandoned in a cardboard box at the entrance of the camel pen along Seventh Ring Road. A team of paramedics accompanied by securitymen was dispatched to the scene when the Operations Room of the Interior Ministry received report about the incident. Paramedics confirmed that the baby was in good condition before referring him for checkup. The search for his parents is underway.

Car thief nabbed: Police have arrested a 40-year-old GCC citizen for stealing cars, reports Al-Anba daily. The arrest came after police received several complaints. The suspect was arrested after police saw a suspicious looking man trying to escape last Friday when he saw patrolmen approaching towards him in the wee hours of the morning. When he felt cornered, he abandoned the vehicle and attempted to escape on foot. At the time of arrest, he was driving a car which was reported stolen in Salwa four months ago.
