KUWAIT CITY, March 20: The Ministry of Public Works (MPW) in coordination with the Civil Service Council (CSC) is planning to make it possible for the ministry employees to mark their fingerprint attendance via the smart phone, reports Al-Anba daily quoting reliable sources.

The sources added the idea was presented by the ministry to the CSC as part of its strategy, which aims to protect its employees from the Corona pandemic, and that the ministry is waiting for a response from the CSC. The sources explained the total number of employees at the MPW is 14,800.

The sources noted the idea initiated by the ministry comes in light of the continued implementation of the precautionary measures imposed by the health authorities in the country to limit the spread of the new coronavirus. The sources pointed out the ministry has set various guidelines for its employees, and among these measures are social distancing, preventing employee from visiting offices unless in urgent issues, constant use of sterilizers, and adherence to guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health.
